A Lancashire hirer which invested in a Liebherr for its first-ever new crane has returned again to the German manufacturer for its latest recruit.
Marsden Crane Services has this time opted for another LTM1040-2.1 40-tonner as it continues to expand its Liebherr line-up, which also features 50t, 60t and 90t models. The company bought its first brand-new crane in 2017 and has since shown year-on-year expansion.
The two axle LTM 1040-2.1 features a four section 35 metre main boom and can be equipped with a 9.5 metre swingaway extension. It can travel in the UK with its full 6.5 tonne counterweight or meet 12 tonne axle loads with its 1.5 tonne fixed counterweight. The crane comes complete with VarioBase and full remote control.
The company is based in a purpose-built complex in Wigan and has a fleet of mobile and tracked machines carrying out lifting services from the Midlands to the Scottish Borders.
Managing Director Lee Marsden said: ‘Adding another new Liebherr LTM1040-2.1 to our fleet further increases our ability to provide quality lifting options to our customers. Although we regard this machine as the best two-axle All Terrain crane available, our decision is also based on the great technical support we receive from Liebherr-Great Britain.’
