Irish crane company BCS crane hire has taken delivery of a LTM1230-5.1 as part of its ongoing fleet renewal program.
The new five axle crane, which has a 230-tonne lift capacity, features an eight section 75 metre main boom and an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway jib that can be hydraulically offset by up to 40 degrees. Up to three seven-meter inserts can be added between the boom nose and swingaway to give a maximum height of 113 meters
BCS Crane Hire’s LTM1230-5.1 comes complete with Varioballast® and VarioBase® Plus: the combination of an asymmetrical support with the tried-and-tested VarioBase system. It is equipped with full remote control crane operations as well as winch and boom head cameras. This single engine concept machine can carry 22 tonnes of counterweight with a maximum counterweight of 72 tonnes. It also features Liebherr’s ECOmode and ECOdrive systems.

BCS Crane Hire was established in 2013 but has roots back to the 1960’s in the crane hire industry. The company currently runs a mobile crane fleet which is exclusively Liebherr populated.
