Liebherr has reached the halfway stage of supplying another huge crane order to UK rental business King Lifting.
The order was confirmed early last year and is made up of 19 machines. It is the third multiple-unit order placed by King with Liebherr in recent times; in 2018 it signed a contract for 22 cranes, followed by a deal for a further nine in 2021.
Machines delivered in the last few weeks are three LTM1060-3.1s, two LTM1090-4.2s, an LTM1150-5.2and an LTM1230-5.1 with a further LTM1090-4.2 arriving later in the year. Deliveries are planned tocontinue until 2024.
Liebherr has confirmed the new LTM1300-6.3,equipped with a 90 m telescopic main boom, will be part of its line-up at May’s Vertikal Days show in Peterborough.
King Lifting was established in 1982 by its chairman Bob King and is today the UK’s largest family-ownedmobile crane hire company, operating across the UKand Europe. King Lifting is currently operating the largest fleet holding of LTM1230-5.1cranes in the UK rental market.
