AMHEC has placed a historic order for 100 Tadano GR cranes and has visited the Shido plant to commemorate this significant event.

Takamatsu, Japan – January 9, 2025 - Arabian Machinery & Heavy Equipment Company (AMHEC), a longstanding client, has signed a significant contract for 100 GR-800EX units. This order represents one of the largest by volume and stands as one of the most notable crane acquisitions in Tadano’s illustrious 105-year history.

The integration of 100 additional GR-800EX models will empower AMHEC to enhance its crane capabilities, effectively managing extensive rigging operations and movements—particularly at drilling sites—throughout Saudi Arabia. Established in 2007 and headquartered in Khobar, AMHEC is a leading provider of crane rentals, heavy lifting, transportation, and rig move services across the kingdom. Their fleet consists of over 400 cranes, a substantial portion of which are Tadano models.

Ceremony at the Shido Plant

The significance of this order prompted a gathering of Tadano and AMHEC leaders, alongside Mr. Saleh Hamad Al-Mogbil, Managing Director of Saleh & Abdulaziz Abahsain Co., Ltd., which has been the distributor of Tadano products in Saudi Arabia for more than 40 years. Tadano CEO Mr. Toshiaki Ujiie, AMHEC CEO Mr. Abdullah Faisal Al Suwaiket, and Mr. Al-Mogbil convened at the Shido Plant in Kagawa, the production site for the majority of Tadano’s rough terrain cranes, to commemorate the handover ceremony.

During the event, Mr. Ujiie presented Mr. Al Suwaiket with a symbolic golden key to honor the 100-unit order for the GR-800EX cranes.

“We sincerely appreciate Arabian Machinery & Heavy Equipment's longstanding relationship with Tadano. Their order of 100 GR-800EX cranes exemplifies how our partnership can flourish by consistently striving to meet and surpass expectations,” stated Mr. Ujiie. “We also extend our gratitude to Saleh & Abdulaziz Abahsain for their exceptional service, which has been instrumental in AMHEC's ongoing expansion of this remarkable partnership.”

Mr. Saleh Hamad Al-Mogbil expressed, “We are thrilled to finalize this historic order of 100 units of Tadano rough terrain cranes for our esteemed client Arabian Machinery & Heavy Equipment Co. Ltd. Abahsain’s Heavy Equipment Division is committed to delivering effective and reliable sales and aftersales support to Tadano crane customers throughout the kingdom.”

Mr. Abdullah of AMHEC remarked, “Tadano products are known for their reliability, durability, and ease of maintenance. In this competitive and evolving market, as we expand our fleet to meet increasing demands, we continuously seek enhancements in product quality while ensuring cost efficiency, both initially and for ongoing operations.”

Tadano's esteemed reputation for safety, quality, and reliability positions them as the preferred choice for achieving these objectives. Continuous technological innovations that conserve fuel, reduce emissions, and optimize operations contribute to maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs in both the short and long term. These attributes significantly influence AMHEC's purchasing decisions, particularly concerning their order of 100 new rough terrain cranes.

Feedback regarding Tadano cranes frequently highlights their “user-friendly” nature in operational contexts, as noted by Mr. Jaber, Procurement Manager for AMHEC.

With such a substantial order, meticulous logistical planning is underway to ensure timely deliveries. Each delivery will be accompanied by services and training to facilitate AMHEC's integration of the new units into their fleet and their deployment across job sites nationwide. The addition of 100 cranes necessitates extensive training, and AMHEC collaborates with both Tadano corporate and their Saudi Arabian distributor Saleh & Abdulaziz Abahsain Co., Ltd. to secure the required instruction, spare parts, and reliable ongoing service. Previous training sessions have received commendations for their excellence, as reported by Mr. Jaber and Mr. Sayeed Ahmed Babajan, AMHEC Procurement Supervisor.

Tadano eagerly anticipates the next chapter in their already productive relationship with AMHEC, marked by this significant order for GR-800EX cranes, which ranks among the highest in volume the company has ever processed. Both Tadano and distributor Saleh & Abdulaziz Abahsain Co., Ltd. are fully prepared to ensure seamless delivery, comprehensive training, prompt parts supply, and dependable service to support their customers' growth.
