Our Origin Story
So, by now, you have already guessed or heard the owner and creator of Crane Hub is non other than Tristam Mayes, based in the UK with 25+ years in the industry and known for a specific BBC TV show, but what you probably do not know is how did he come up with the name and the logo??
Firstly, you need to get your minds out of the gutter, while sitting at home just after being off-hired from a project in Spain at the start of covid he found himself sat in the front room one evening browsing the well-known crane publications and watching one of his favorite YouTube channels, Plane Hub TV. That night, 5th October 2020, Crane Hub was born, initially only on Instagram to share cool photos and funny crane-related memes.
The whole concept became popular very fast, putting it down to a mixture of the logo and the incredible images. The Crane Hub brand then moved onto LinkedIn, where it started to take off so fast that Crane Hub began to to get noticed by some of the largest brands in the industry, and from there, began to work with them to give them more exposure and help create content. One of the missing things in the crane industry was the lack of good content. After watching the great stuff and the likes of Mark Anthony from Demolition News were producing, Tristam realized this is what the crane industry was missing and that the old and stuffy publications hadn't caught on with; the age of the physical magazine was dead. The new age of marketing for the crane industry was born.
Fast forward to 2024, and Crane Hub has become a household name within the industry all over the globe, with over 100K loyal followers. There isn't a crane company that hasn't seen the Crane Hub brand, but this wasn't enough, and Tristam wanted to bring the news and content further; he needed a team with the same vision and goals as him. That is where the team at CraneLife comes in. Clint and Meagan, both veterans in the world of marketing, had the same passion and determination to want a change in the way the crane industry does its news and content.
